Inspired by Various Cave Art, but mainly from the Lascaux Cave network in the south west of France. This piece of art consists of a variety of mediums and not only Acrylic on a Pine framed Canvas. The textured surface represents that of the Lascaux Cave network walls and has unique and unusual textured, fixed sand finish created from a variety of processes and mediums.
The canvas measures 80cm by 80cm (approx 32 inch by 32 inch)
Featured in this piece is 6 prehistoric animals, listed from left to right:
A Mythical Beast similar to Unicorn.
Painted as discovered and seen in Caves on visit, this is a headless beast that remains unidentified.
Elongated prehistoric Deer, painting in style unique to the original Cave Artists.
The resplendent Buffalo, otherwise known in French name as Bisons Adassés.
The Red Horse or Chevel Rouge possibly painted originally part submerged in water.
And the final animal is the Graud Taureau or Big Bull.
